Alia Shawkat (born April 18 1989) is one the richest and most famous TV actresses. Alia Shawkat grew up in Riverside California. She played Maeby in the Fox show Arrested Development, a part which earned her the TV Land Future Classic Award. Shawkat was a part of Whip It along with Ellen Page. Shawkat played Hannah as a character on State of Grace between 2001 and 2004. In the role of Maeby Funke Shawkat was a regular cast member of Arrested Development for the entire run of the show from 2003 to the year 2018. The series was greeted with mostly favorable reviews, with her performance sometimes being singled out as a highlight. Pop-culture commentator Brian M. Palmer remarked that she was one of the brightest spotlights on a show populated solely with bright lights. Scott Weinberg of eFilmCritic described her as a hilarious young woman. In a recent interview with The A.V. Shawkat confessed in 2010 that her most formative performances took place on the Arrested Improvement stage. Mitch Hurwitz acted as an uncle to me.
