Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Being initially attracted by the shadows on trees she observed on grass, she set about exploring a process that does not present the subject as a 2-dimensional representation on canvas. The subject instead transforms into a re-creation of itself and the canvas transforms into the medium for it's own painterly interpretation, especially when the subjects are alive or perishable, such as people or fruit. Alexa Meade's painting style, that is a bit ephemeral in its nature, can be seen. The only thing from her work that is preserved is the photo. Trompe l'oeil can be achieved using the two processes of painting and photographing. The result is an unflattened and two-dimensional image. Meade occasionally integrates painted models in the space surrounding them. This allows them to engage with the environment the artist has constructed. The boundaries between performance, photography, installation and painting can be dissolved.
