Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. The actress began her career as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. That same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's time for Tina. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Big Acre a 1957 drama film. The film was an enormous success and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next unforgettable role was in 1964. She was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour continued to successfully move between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character opposed her perceived image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director for popular TV shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. She spent her childhood there and her adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living in Vancouver ever since.
